A Nonprofit That Puts Kids At The Forefront Of Social Change

5/22/2023

WEST HUMBOLDT PARK:

The Honeycomb Project is a local nonprofit that puts kids at the forefront of social change.

Honeycomb partners with more than 40 organizations from Chicago Furniture Bank in Brighton Park to Mission of Our Lady of the Angels in Humboldt Park to Ravenswood Community Services Food Pantry — to offer volunteer opportunities for the whole family. In 2022, volunteers represented 98% of Chicago zip codes. The Honeycomb Project is engaging Chicagoland families to help their neighbors in need.

They put kids at the forefront of social change. The Honeycomb Project engages, mobilizes, and inspires whole families to build strong and connected communities through service.

Nearly every weekend of the year, hundreds of kids and their parents volunteer with us to learn about our city’s complex challenges and take action. They work through rain and snow. They miss birthday parties and piano practice. They know that volunteering matters.
