When you sell millions of albums, performed on Broadway, and guest star on TV, it’s safe to say you’ve seen the world.

Huey Lewis, now retired from the music business has not set his sites on conservation. A lover of the outdoors, he’s partnered with the Museum of Science and Industry to offer “Wing Over Water,” a movie that showcases the importance of the Prairie Pothole Region. Specifically, the migration of birds, wildlife, and agriculture.

Narrated by Oscar-winning actor Michael Keaton, and featuring music by Huey Lewis, “Wings Over Water” is currently playing at MSI’s Giant Dome Theater. Viewers are immersed in a vast complex of small wetlands in western Canada and the northern United States through the eyes of three family groups of birds – sandhill cranes, mallards, and yellow warblers.

Audiences are captivated by the triumphs and challenges of these remarkable creatures that defy all odds and soar across mountains, deserts, cities, and forests as they head home to raise their young. This state-of-the-art film uses stunning visuals to express the importance of the preservation of wetlands as audience members soar with the birds.
