Windy City Made Market Celebrates Chicago Artist With Perfect Holiday Gift Ideas

Windy City Made, a holiday art and vintage market, featuring local artists, makers, festive vintage décor, inspired holiday fashion and floral arrangements, will hold its inaugural event in Logan Square.

The historic Stan Mansion ballrooms will provide a glamourous backdrop for a hyper-local shopping experience that looks and feels like a fancy holiday party but supports Chicago small businesses without the hassle of last-minute shopping in the Loop. More than 50 Chicago vendors, including unique jewelry by Gathering Hands, Floral art by Bloom & Make, small batch soap from a Chicago micro-farm by Nature’s Trace co., trendy holiday fits by Primaries Vintage, shiny mid-century barware for entertaining by Retroish and cozy winter candles by Blackbird and co. and Chicago Wick Stop.

The Twentieth, based in the Andersonville neighborhood of Chicago, offers original Art Deco art prints as well as Art Deco imagery reimagined with a 21st-century flair as stationery and gifts. Art historian Emma Lewis restores original Art Deco and Art Nouveau prints and upcycles antique bookplates to offer customers historical art at accessible prices.

For The Twentieth brand of vintage-inspired stationery and gifts, she reworks designs of often underappreciated illustrators of the early 20th century by combining the updated images with witty contemporary language.
