All of us are looking for a little human connection.

Put down the phone and suck it up and go out!

While out on an adventure, you’ll come across a neighborhood gem! Welcome to Village Tap, Chicago’s go-to neighborhood bar for craft beer lovers. For them, craft beer isn’t a passing trend—it’s been their passion since day one. When they opened in June 1990, the craft beer movement was just taking off in Chicago, and we’ve been at the forefront ever since.

With 26 rotating drafts, we focus on showcasing the best in local and domestic craft beer. Their tap list is constantly evolving, and we host exclusive events throughout the year, featuring rare and specialty brews. Highlights include:

🍺 Stout Spectacular (January) – A deep dive into rich, bold stouts

🎄 Holiday Beer Roll Out (December) – Seasonal favorites and festive releases

🥃 Festival of Barrel-Aged Beer (November) – A celebration of complex, aged brews

Beyond their beer selection, our iconic Beer Garden has earned praise from Travel + Leisure, Fodor’s, Men’s Fitness, and numerous local publications. Tucked away behind ivy-covered walls, with a towering birch tree and a cozy fireplace, it’s an urban escape like no other. Thanks to a retractable roof and heating system, the beer garden is open year-round, rain or shine.
