Chicago Taco & Tequila Fest 2026 Brings a Flavor Riot to Lincoln Park
Chicago doesn’t do subtle when it comes to summer. It goes full throttle—loud, crowded, and dripping with flavor. Case in point: the Chicago Taco & Tequila Fest, a two-day stretch of tortilla-wrapped joy and agave-fueled decision-making taking over Wrightwood Park in Lincoln Park, June 26–27, 2026.
This isn’t your average street fest with a folding table and a sad hot dog. This is a full-blown taco congregation—13 Chicagoland vendors pulling up with everything from slow-braised carnitas to unexpected global twists tucked inside a warm tortilla. It’s the kind of lineup that turns casual eaters into strategic planners.
Expect heavy hitters like Cabos Tacos, Cafe Tola, Carnitas Roldan, Caseras Food Truck, Delicias Tacos, Enrique’s Place, Fernando’s Blue Agave, La Cebollita Grill, La Cocina De Carmelita, Naty’s Taco and Catering, Prime Tacos, Tandoor Char House, and Taqueria Teotihuacan—all slinging their best in a compact, high-stakes arena of flavor.
And because tacos rarely travel alone, tequila steps in as the co-star. General admission gets you a margarita starter, but the real adventure lives in the tequila tasting add-on—eight samples deep, a slow climb into agave appreciation or a fast track to dancing like nobody’s filming (but someone definitely is).
Live music hums in the background, giving the whole thing a rhythm that feels less like a festival and more like a neighborhood block party that accidentally got sponsored. Families aren’t left out either—there’s a dedicated kids area, so even the smallest Chicagoans can get in on the action while adults debate their third margarita decision.
Here’s the rundown: Wrightwood Park, 2555 N. Ashland Ave. Friday, June 26 | 5–10 p.m. Saturday, June 27 | 11 a.m.–10 p.m.
Tickets start at $15 in advance ($18 at the gate), with margaritas included for the 21+ crowd. Tequila tastings run $20 in advance or $25 onsite, with limited availability.
If Chicago summer had a flavor profile, it might just taste like this—lime, salt, grilled meat, and a little bit of chaos. Come hungry, leave with stories.
