Acclaimed Vocalist To Launch The Inaugural Door County Jazz Festival Celebrating The Intersection Of Country And Jazz
Staci Griesbach, a Los Angeles-based vocalist, blends her passion for country music and jazz by reimagining the Great American Songbook of Country Music through a jazz lens. Her Songbook series highlights the music of legendary artists such as Patsy Cline, Shania Twain, Dolly Parton, and George Jones. Her most recent full-length album, My George Jones Songbook, received a four-star review from DownBeat magazine, which praised her for “paying tribute not through imitation, but by exploring new possibilities through new artistry.” Griesbach’s debut single, “Walkin’ After Midnight,” from her 2019 album My Patsy Cline Songbook, was described by Rolling Stone as “a gorgeous jazz interpretation.”
Griesbach has performed at prestigious venues, including Carnegie Hall, Birdland, the Country Music Hall of Fame, Catalina Jazz Club, Rudy’s Jazz Room, and the Nashville Jazz Workshop. In 2021, she introduced Songbook Singles™, a collection honoring classic Great American Songbook standards and 20th-century composers, songwriters, and artists. She is currently touring in support of her Songbook series.
In August 2025, Griesbach will debut a new jazz festival in Door County, Wisconsin. The inaugural Door County Jazz Festival will feature performances at various venues throughout the peninsula during the first week of August, culminating in a weekend of concerts on Aug. 9–10 at Sunset Park in Sturgeon Bay.
A Hortonville native and University of Wisconsin graduate, Griesbach is also a former member of the Wisconsin Singers. Now based in Los Angeles, she continues to innovate as a jazz vocalist and songwriter while maintaining deep ties to her Wisconsin roots.
