Chicago’s independent music community is as strong as any in the country.

Since its founding, Smashed Plastic (Chicago’s only record pressing plant) has made it its mission to work with local independent record labels & bands. They pride themselves on being an integral part of the independent music community.

SMASHED PLASTIC: LIVE VOL. 1 was a one-day festival showcasing these independent artists & labels that they are so proud to work with. It is Smashed Plastic’s way of bringing the records that we love to a live audience.

They featured many of Chicago’s favorites with local beer, cider, and cannabis brand sponsors, and kept it all within the city love by working with CHIRP Radio as our media sponsor as well!

Taking place at WORKSHOP 4200 in a converted loading dock stage and surrounding lot, the day will feature Local Beers, Local Food Vendors, Live Painting, Cannabis Sponsor Village & Plenty of Surprises.
