Midwest Winter Wonderland: Hit the Slopes at Lake Geneva’s Grand Geneva Resort
If cabin fever has got you itching for fresh powder, it’s time to plan a Midwest winter escape—and Lake Geneva is calling. This weekend, Winterfest is heating up the scene, and yes, that includes skiing! While the Midwest may not have the Rockies, The Mountain Top at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa proves you don’t need to fly west to find premier slopes.
For the 2025-26 ski season, The Mountain Top is bringing major upgrades. A new high-capacity snowmaking well doubles the resort’s snow-making ability, meaning more consistent coverage, improved slope conditions, and longer ski days.
“We are excited to introduce this new snow-making capability, which will allow us to make more of our own snow and provide more reliable ski days,” said Ryan Brown, director of ski and golf at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa. “This investment reflects our continued dedication to offering an incredible winter getaway for guests.”
Brown, Grand Geneva’s PGA professional and director of golf operations, recently expanded his role to oversee The Mountain Top during the winter season, ensuring the resort maintains top-notch conditions for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels.
Recognized as one of Wisconsin’s top family-friendly snow sports destinations, The Mountain Top offers more than skiing and snowboarding. Visitors can enjoy sledding, ice skating, and private or group ski lessons, with equipment rentals available for convenience.
And it’s not just snow sports—Grand Geneva Resort & Spa features an indoor water park, cozy lodging, and a full roster of winter festivities. It’s the perfect weekend getaway for families, couples, or friends ready to embrace the snow-filled season without leaving the Midwest.
Don’t wait—bundle up, grab your gear, and hit the slopes at Lake Geneva’s Mountain Top. Midwest winter adventures have never looked better.
