Reed’s Local Neighborhood Bar In Avondale

By

Looking for a truly Chicago bar? Head to Avondale and get a beer and a shot at Reed’s.

Reed’s Local is more than just a dive bar in Chicago’s Avondale neighborhood. We are a local, family-owned place where neighbors can grab a beer after work, host birthday parties, meet friends, and see some amazing bands and DJs. We also have an impressive collection of VHS tapes for your viewing pleasure.

Known for our daily special – a can of Hamm’s with a shot of Old Crow for only $4—we also have a wide selection of craft and local brews.

Reed’s has a classic dive-bar aesthetic, kitschy decor, bubble hockey and local art. Yet we’re also a family business committed to creating a unique space that caters to the Avondale community.

Their motto—Drink Local—means more than just patronizing your neighborhood bar. It’s a venue to gather with friends to play trivia or one of our vintage board games behind the bar. It’s a spot to meet new friends at our Open Mic Comedy nights or Karaoke.

It’s a place to try craft beer from a local brewery or a quirky cocktail named after a horror movie. On a budget? We’re pretty much known for the $4 “Three-Eyed Crow” Combo—a can of Hamm’s with a shot of Old Crow.

Reed’s Local is CASH ONLY.
