RecruitMilitary is an organization that empowers military community members with meaningful career opportunities. In addition to serving transitioning military service members, veterans, National Guard, and Reserve members, it connects military spouses with employers who are committed to hiring and supporting them. The organization offers a variety of resources and services to help military spouses find meaningful employment, including job boards, career fairs, and personalized job-matching services. They work with a wide range of employers across different industries to help military spouses find job opportunities that match their skills and interests.

According to recent studies, the unemployment rate for military spouses is nearly four times higher than the national average sitting at an average of 24%. This is due in large part to the unique challenges and frequent moves that military families face, which can make it difficult for military spouses to establish and maintain careers. Military spouses are the most highly educated, yet underemployed and unemployed demographic in the U.S.

May is Military Appreciation Month which includes a singular day of recognition for military spouses called Military Spouse Appreciation Day which occurred on May 12. RecruitMilitary joined forces with Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and U.S. Army Transition Assistance Program on May 11th to host a virtual career fair for military spouses around the world. More than 400 military spouses and 45 employers attended the event to network and explore career opportunities.

In 2022, RecruitMilitary hosted 85 veteran career fairs, providing 5,000 exhibitors with access to 37,000+ job seekers in the military community. All of RecruitMilitary’s events and resources are open to military spouses.
