Love trains, history, or just looking for something awesome to do in Chicago this spring?

Then mark your calendars for Pullman Railroad Days 2025, happening May 17–18 at Pullman National Historical Park — Chicago’s only national park and a place packed with powerful stories.

Step aboard restored Pullman railcars, ride a vintage CTA bus, hop on the kid-favorite Little Obie mini train, and explore a massive Model Train Extravaganza with hundreds of feet of track and classic trains in action.

🗺️ History buffs, civil rights fans, and union rights advocates — heads up!

This year honors the 100th anniversary of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters, the first Black labor union in the U.S., founded right here in Pullman in 1925. Explore their legacy and impact through special exhibits from the Pullman Porter Museum, DuSable Museum, and Bronzeville Black Metropolis.

Enjoy guided walking tours of the historic neighborhood, live music, an antique car show, great food from local vendors, and plenty of family-friendly fun all weekend long.

🎟️ Early bird tickets are just $25 ($22 for HPF members) through May 9 — and kids under 12 get in free!

📍 Located at Pullman National Historical Park (just off the 111th Street Metra Electric line)
