Looking to explore a new neighborhood?

Head down to Pullman Railroad Days for an unforgettable weekend celebrating the rich heritage of rail travel and the 130th anniversary of the historic Pullman Strike of 1894. This year’s event features three exquisite railcars making their debut: the 1950 Pullman Sleeper-Observation Blue Ridge Club, the 1923 Sleeper-Lounge Dover Harbor, and the stunning 1957 Art Deco Hollywood Beach. These luxurious cars will be on display at the 111th Street/Pullman Metra Electric Station, thanks to Metra and the American Association of Private Rail Car Owners (AAPRCO).

Visitors from Chicagoland and beyond can explore the new exhibit, “People of the Pullman Strike,” at the Historic Pullman Exhibit Hall throughout the weekend. This exhibit delves into the pivotal events of the 1894 strike, offering a deeper understanding of its impact.

Pullman Railroad Days also includes a variety of engaging tours, such as guided visits to the historic Pullman factory grounds and exclusive access to the rarely-open Hotel Florence. Norfolk-Southern will provide a virtual reality experience and display railroad maintenance vehicles, while the CTA will showcase a historic Chicago bus. Numerous other attractions and interactive tents will be available for exploration.

Pullman National Historical Park Rangers will host interactive activities throughout the weekend, ensuring fun for the whole family. Enjoy delicious food, entertainment, and endless family-friendly activities.

Don’t miss out on this incredible event! A single-ticket entry grants you access to all featured events, including tours of the historic railcars. Advance tickets are available for just $26 on Eventbrite.com.
