The world’s premier bull riding tour, PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Unleash The Beast, is set to buck into Allstate Arena on Jan. 10-11, marking the 15th time the elite competition will take over the venue. The two-night event will bring the sport’s Top 40 bull riders face-to-face with some of the most powerful animal athletes on the planet.

This stop in Rosemont plays a pivotal role on the road to the PBR World Championship, where a $1 million bonus and the coveted gold buckle await the 2025 champion. The World Finals will take place in Texas, but every ride counts in Chicago as riders accumulate crucial points toward their championship bids.

Last season’s Chicago event showcased incredible talent, with Cassio Dias going a perfect 3-for-3 to win his third of seven Unleash The Beast titles. His dominant season earned him both the 2024 PBR World Champion and 2024 PBR Rookie of the Year honors.

Among this year’s competitors, Texan rider Austin Richardson is one to watch. Richardson grew up next to 2008 PBR World Champion Guilherme Marchi, who inspired and guided his path into professional bull riding. Despite suffering a broken collarbone in 2021 that required surgery, Richardson returned resiliently, qualifying for the PBR World Finals for the second time and recording his first 90-point ride on the elite tour.

In 2024, Richardson’s season was off to a career-best start before a knee injury sidelined him. He entered last January’s Chicago event as the world’s No. 1-ranked rider. Now healthy and hungry for victory, Richardson is focused on securing his first individual gold buckle.

Currently ranked No. 16 in the world, Richardson will look to climb the standings with a strong performance at Allstate Arena. Fans can expect an action-packed weekend as he and the rest of the world’s best riders compete for crucial points and momentum heading into the 2025 PBR World Finals.
