The Orland Park Area Chamber of Commerce will host SummerFest, an event combining a carnival, live music, car show, an outdoor market and community expo, at 142nd and LaGrange Rd. in Orland Park from Thursday, June 15 through Sunday, June 18.

“We are excited to debut SummerFest this year and hope it becomes an annual favorite Orland Park event,” said Chamber President Ramzi Hassan. “We are grateful for the support of the Village to provide a safe and secure environment for the community to come out and enjoy a fun weekend with neighbors, friends and family.”

The debut of the chamber event was an idea of Hassan’s that he announced as one of his first orders of business at his installation in early 2023. Previously, the chamber hosted a community expo, an Arts & Drafts event and many small, widespread events throughout the year. This event aims to combine most of the chamber-hosted events into one, fun-filled weekend.

The event will kick-off on Thursday, June 15 with a Sensory Carnival Session for individuals with special needs. The carnival is open to the general public beginning at 5:30 p.m. and the Village of Orland Park Market at the Park will be held beginning at 6:30 p.m. with live entertainment offered at Crescent Park. Bingo will be offered beginning at 5:30 and a DJ Dance Party will take place from 8 -11 p.m.

The fun will continue on Friday, June 16 and Saturday, June 17 when the carnival opens at 2 p.m., the Community Expo will run from 2-7 p.m., live music will be offered from 5-9 p.m. and bingo will begin at 2 p.m. in the bingo tent.
