Avondale, situated on the Northwest Side of Chicago, stands as one of the city’s 77 officially designated community areas. Bounded by Addison Street to the north, from the north branch of the Chicago River in the east to Pulaski Road in the west, the neighborhood expands westward along Belmont Avenue to the Union Pacific/Northwest Line. Diversey Avenue marks the southern border, extending from the Union Pacific/Northwest Line to the Chicago River.
