New Record Store at Wrigley Field Celebrates Chicago’s Musical Legacy

By Tom Barnas

A new record store, Landmark Records, has opened at Gallagher Way, adjacent to Wrigley Field, celebrating Chicago’s deep blues heritage and the musical legacy of the historic ballpark.

Opened on April 4, 2025, the store is a collaboration between the Chicago Cubs and Delmark Records. It offers a curated selection of records, focusing on blues albums that pay tribute to the city’s influential music scene. In addition to vinyl, the shop features music-themed merchandise and the Cubs’ newly released Blues Alternate jersey.

You might notice the Cubbies in their new powder blue uniforms this summer. It’s all for a reason—to honor Chicago Blues music. This pays homage to Chicago’s rich blues musical background and gives true meaning to Sweet Home Chicago, which plays after each Cubs home game.

Landmark Records is more than a retail space; it serves as a cultural hub, hosting live performances by local musicians throughout the baseball season. The store also showcases memorabilia highlighting Wrigley Field’s broader musical history, including Grateful Dead collectibles, a guitar signed by Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl, and Pearl Jam merchandise. These items reflect the stadium’s longstanding role as a major concert venue.

Visitors to Gallagher Way can now experience this unique blend of sports and music culture, making Landmark Records a must-visit destination for Cubs fans and music enthusiasts alike.
