If you haven’t made it to a festival this summer, now’s your chance to savor the season before it slips away! The Lakeview Taco Fest is here to keep the summer vibes alive for one more weekend. This beloved Chicago event offers something for every taco lover, whether you’re craving classic fillings like chicken, steak, chorizo, and beef, or daring to try innovative creations featuring mushrooms, seafood, goat, or duck. Fourteen local eateries will compete to deliver the most mouthwatering tacos, making this fest a must-visit on the Windy City’s food calendar.

Mark your calendar for Saturday and Sunday, September 7-8, as the Lakeview Taco Fest takes over 3500 N. Southport Ave., between Addison and Roscoe. The festivities run from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. each day.

In addition to the diverse taco offerings, you can enjoy cold Modelo beer, margaritas, tequila seltzers, and sangria. Two live music stages, exciting Lucha Libre Mexican wrestling (daily at 5 p.m. at Southport & Cornelia), and kid-friendly activities (including inflatables and games) ensure fun for all ages. Plus, don’t miss your chance to vote via text for Chicago’s “Best Taco.”

Sample the city’s finest tacos from top vendors like Tuco & Blondie, Beat Kitchen, Taqueria La Ciudad, Taqueria Arceo, La Cebollita Grill, Enrique’s Place, Banges Mexican Food, El Campeon, Prime Tacos, Carnitas Roldan, and last year’s People’s Choice Winner, Tikki Masala Taco House by Tandoor Char House. Be sure to check out new additions like Antique Taco, Iztatl Cocina Mexicana, and Teotihuacán Mexican Cafe & Restaurant. On Saturday, catch the competition for the esteemed “Critics’ Choice Best Taco” award, which will be announced on the Lucha Libre stage at 4:45 p.m.
