Celebrate National Burger Month at The Grillroom Chophouse in Chicago’s Loop
May is National Burger Month, and The Grillroom Chophouse & Wine Bar—a Chicago staple for over 20 years—is serving up a luxurious take on an American classic. The limited-edition Spring Smashburger ($20) features two 4-ounce Australian Wagyu patties, melty American cheese, house-made Grillroom Special Sauce, dill pickles, and a soft potato bun. It’s served with a side of crispy Cajun-seasoned fries for the perfect upscale comfort meal.
Sips That Give: Cocktails With a Cause
The Grillroom has also launched “Sips That Give”, a new initiative supporting eco-conscious organizations. Each month, 10% of proceeds from a featured cocktail will be donated to a local environmental cause.
This month’s spotlight is the “Bee Line” ($14)—a floral gin sour made with Barr Hill Gin, fresh lemon juice, lavender bitters, and organic local honey sourced from a pollinator-friendly farm. Garnished with an edible flower, this refreshing cocktail supports Bee Haven, an organization working to preserve and create pollinator habitats in the Greater Chicago area.
Nestled in the heart of Chicago’s Loop and Theater District—just steps from the CIBC Theatre—The Grillroom Chophouse & Wine Bar is a true Windy City institution. Recently refreshed and reopened in August 2024 after a five-month hiatus, the restaurant blends classic steakhouse charm with contemporary sophistication. Expect rich wood and leather details, soft lighting, and a menu that features prime steaks, fresh seafood, handmade pastas, and seasonal fare—all served with impeccable hospitality.
Come June, guests can dine al fresco on the newly refreshed flower-adorned patio along Monroe Street, offering seating for up to 50 and a front-row view of the city’s vibrant energy. It’s a perfect setting for power lunches, pre-theater dinners, or after-work gatherings.
