Step Into A World Of Daring Performances And Haunting Melodies At Chicago's Most Decadent Halloween Celebration

By Tom Barnas
10/26/2024

On Sunday, October 27, Deviant Cabaret returns to Alhambra Palace, following up last year’s sensational debut with another electrifying mix of dance, circus, and cabaret acts that promise to both disturb and delight. Guests are encouraged to arrive adorned in their finest Halloween attire, setting the stage for an unforgettable night.

Headlining the evening, Chicago’s own Sideshow Villains—a “Criminal Cabaret” ensemble—will perform selections from their 2023 EP, Claws for Breakfast. This audacious compilation explores themes of revenge, addiction, and mayhem, woven into an eclectic Americana soundtrack that perfectly complements Alhambra Palace’s lush main hall.

The music on Claws for Breakfast conjures the spirit of ’70s film soundtracks, gritty Hollywood westerns, and vaudevillian burlesque. Each track, written or co-written by Sideshow Villains band leader Dante Ingram, immerses listeners in dark, cinematic tales. Adding to the thrill, Ingram himself will perform an aerial routine and puppetry act as part of the Deviant Cabaret lineup, amplifying the show’s daring allure.
