Chicago Musical Pathways Initiative (CMPI) Spring Showcase Recital | Empowering Young Musicians of Color

In the face of sweeping national cuts to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs, the Chicago Musical Pathways Initiative (CMPI) continues to uplift and empower talented young musicians from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds.

Held at the iconic Symphony Center’s Buntrock Hall, the CMPI Spring Showcase Recital spotlights student musicians from 6th to 12th grade who are shaping the future of classical music in Chicago and beyond.

This inspiring performance follows their recent appearance with the Equity Arc Pathways Orchestra, and serves as a powerful response to the ongoing challenges affecting DEI programs across the country.
