The Chicago Hounds, Chicago’s Major League Rugby franchise, are set to kick off their 2025 season at SeatGeek Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 23. Established as an expansion team in 2022, the Hounds made their debut in 2023 and quickly became a standout in the city’s sports landscape. The team was the only professional sports franchise in Chicago to win a playoff game in 2024, setting high expectations for the upcoming season.

The Hounds play at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, with tickets starting at $20. They are also the focus of “United States of Rugby,” a new documentary premiering today on Roku, with a wider release on major streaming services next month. Rugby is one of the fastest-growing team sports in the U.S., and excitement is building ahead of the 2031 Rugby World Cup, which will be hosted in the United States. Known for its fast pace, physicality and passion, rugby is gaining traction among American sports fans.
