Brooke Bentley, a dynamic individual with a diverse background, seamlessly transitioned from a successful career as a television anchor and award-winning sports journalist to a multifaceted life centered around writing, advocacy work with a grassroots nonprofit, and nurturing her two young boys in her hometown of Houston.

Her literary prowess shines through in her bestselling debut novel, “Sideline Confidential,” which hit the shelves in August 2023. “It’s the Devil Wears Prada Meets the NFL.” said Bentley. Through this work, Brooke provides readers with a compelling glimpse into the challenges faced by women professionals navigating the traditionally male-dominated realm of professional sports.

Beyond her accomplishments in fiction, Brooke has been recognized for her insightful nonfiction contributions. Her essay “It’s Time to Make Children’s Mental Health a Priority” earned Honorable Mention in the 2022 Nonfiction Essay/Article category of the 91st Annual Writer’s Digest Writing Competition. Another thought-provoking piece, “The Pressure to Have It All,” found its place on Mother.com.

A proud graduate with a Masters in Journalism from the University of Southern California, Brooke began her career as a media personality with the Houston Texans in 2007. Hosting Texans TV, covering games and offseason events, and contributing stories to the team’s official website marked the inception of her impactful journey.

Brooke’s professional trajectory extended to roles with Yahoo! Sports Radio and KUBE-TV, where she excelled as a sideline reporter and co-anchor of the SportsZone. Over the ensuing decade, she made significant contributions to various Texas media outlets, leaving an indelible mark on platforms like Fox Sports Southwest and Comcast Sports.
