3/22/2023

AVONDALE:

In honor of its Five Year Anniversary, Sleeping Village is throwing a party!

Having lived a past life as a post office, the 8,000 sq foot space was transformed into a state-of-the-art music venue (designed by physics students at the University of Chicago for optimum sound quality) and 56-rotating-tap bar back in January 2018.

The brainchild of music lovers, beer fanatics and the creative team behind legendary Logan Square craft cocktail haven The Whistler – Sleeping Village partners Billy Helmkamp, Rob Brenner and Eric Henry have made a name for the space as a go-to for Chicago’s music, arts and culture community, and are also using the anniversary as an opportunity remind people that Sleeping Village’s beer program is one of the most dynamic in the country, with a selection of rare, unique and sought-after beers from around the globe. Alongside the constantly evolving list, SV has been home to one-of-a-kind beer collaborations, incubator events, and industry activations centered around both acclaimed and up-and-coming breweries.

Since opening doors in the Avondale neighborhood of Chicago five years ago, Sleeping Village has made a name for itself as one of the most exciting live music venues in the city.
